ACADEMIC COUNCIL MEETING

On September 29, 2026, a meeting of the Institute’s Academic Council was held to discuss key issues related to the Institute’s research, organizational, and academic activities.
One of the key items on the agenda was the review and approval of the Concept for the Renovation and Modernization of the Institute’s Office Space and Library. The document provides for the further development of a modern research environment, the creation of functional conditions for the research activities of staff, and the enhancement of the library space as an important component of the Institute’s academic infrastructure.
Considerable attention was given to the preparation and publication of scholarly literature. The Academic Council reviewed the relevant materials and recommended a number of academic publications for publication.
As part of the research agenda, a study on happiness and life satisfaction in Kazakhstan was presented, focusing on their measurement, comparative analysis, and relationship with social inequality.
Special attention was also given to the training of researchers. The Academic Council reviewed and approved the academic supervisors and dissertation topics of first-year doctoral students. This area is particularly important for ensuring the continuity of academic schools and further strengthening the Institute’s research capacity.
The meeting concluded with a discussion of matters related to the Institute’s further research and organizational activities.
