The draft of the new Constitution places special emphasis on provisions aimed at protecting human dignity and honor. This means that each citizen’s freedom of choice, liberty, and right to life will be given particular attention.

Aidar Amrebaev, Head of the Center for Comparative Political Studies at IPhPR, commented on Article 28, Clause 1, and Article 8, Clause 3 of the new Constitution draft.

According to him, the Constitution draft submitted for public discussion has been developed in accordance with national principles and international legal standards.

Moreover, the People’s Council is being transformed into an organization that protects human rights and operates on a public basis, with its authority being expanded.
