Kazakhstan–Korea Cooperation: New Prospects
As part of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s state visit to the Republic of Korea, a number of important agreements were signed with Korean companies, with particular attention given to the implementation of new industrial and technological projects in Kazakhstan.

These initiatives are aimed at further strengthening bilateral economic ties and enhancing Kazakhstan’s potential as a regional production and investment hub for Korean businesses.

According to Ruslan Izimov, Leading Research Fellow at the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies (IPhPR), critical minerals, the automotive industry, and the technology sector may become key areas of Kazakhstan–Korea cooperation in the coming period.

The expert notes that combining Kazakhstan’s resource potential with South Korea’s technological capabilities creates new opportunities for developing investment, production, and logistics links across Central Asia.
