2024 | Thursday Eternal questions about what philosophy is, what are its boundaries and whether philosophy is necessary for a person and society of a post-normal, post-unusual, post-historical time were discussed this year in the Eternal City. On August 1-8, 2024, in Rome, at Sapienza University, one of the famous universities in Europe, opened at the very beginning of the XIII century, the XXV World Philosophical Congress was held under the motto "Philosophy without Borders" 124 years after the Paris Congress in 1900. By the way, the word "sapienza" means wisdom, Maria Montessori, Bernardo Bertolucci, Federico Fellini, D'Annunzio Gabriele, Sergio Mattarela and many others learned it at this university. The congress is held in Rome for the first time, and in Italy for the fourth time (Bologna (1911), Naples (1924), Venice (1958).
