On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, a meeting of the national expert platform of the CIS GPS: GYLYM was held at the Almaty office of the CIS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. PIKIR. The event was attended by R.N. Mustafin, a leading researcher at the Center for Political Studies at the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies.
The participants noted that measures had been implemented to liberalize the party and electoral systems, steps had been taken to limit presidential powers, the role of Parliament had been strengthened, and elections had been introduced in single-mandate districts in the Mazhilis and maslikhats, The powers of deputies have been significantly expanded. An important step in ensuring the rule of law was the re-establishment of the Constitutional Court, where citizens had the opportunity to apply directly to protect their rights.
