Why is Kazakh society becoming more and more religious? Will our state retain its secular character in the future? What is the essence of the new religious worldview in the era of globalism and change? These and other questions are facing Kazakhstan today – and scientists are making the first attempts to answer them.

Representatives of the expert and academic community, religious scholars, human rights defenders, and public figures expressed their opinions on the topic "The results of a study on the perception of citizens of state policy in the field of religion".

The official reviewer of the study, Elena Burova, the chief researcher of the IFPR of the KN of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies), who got acquainted with the entire array of data, said in her speech that this project is very important, because in Kazakhstan, unfortunately, the sociology of religion is not being developed at all in scientific terms. There is practically no discussion in expert circles of the religious situation in the country, which, in her opinion, has been developing most intensively in recent years.
