On October 9, 2026, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference titled “Nomadism as a Type of Culture and Civilization: A Contemporary Perspective.”

The conference was attended by researchers from the IPhPR Center for World and Kazakh Philosophy — Serik Nurmuratov, Chief Research Fellow, and Gulnar Omarova, Leading Research Fellow.

Scholars from Kazakhstan and other countries discussed the phenomenon of nomadism as a distinctive type of culture and civilization, its worldview foundations, aesthetic features, spiritual heritage, and significance in the context of contemporary social processes.
