At the Kurultai in June this year, the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced that a new state award "Unity of the People" will appear in the country. For the first time it will be awarded this year on the Republic Day – October 25. And next year, distinguished citizens will receive awards, which will be named in honor of historical figures.

Talgat Ismagambetov, a leading researcher at the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies of the Committee of Science, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, spoke about how things are with orders in honor of outstanding statesmen in other countries.
