The event was organized by the Association of Sociologists of Kazakhstan (ASK), which has been a permanent member of the International Association of Sociologists (ISA) since 2003.

Every three years, the ASK, under the leadership of the President of the Union of Sociologists of Turkic-speaking Countries, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Marat Tazhin, gathers leading scientists and experts on its site in order to exchange data, methods and theories in various fields of social sciences in order to create a more complete and in-depth understanding of complex phenomena in society.
