Special attention was given to the role of academic journals as essential institutions of scholarly communication that shape professional communities, ensure continuity of academic schools, and integrate national research into the international academic discourse.
The presentation emphasized the importance of strengthening and renewing the editorial board, expanding the pool of expert reviewers, and improving the quality of peer review as one of the fundamental mechanisms for maintaining high academic standards. Issues related to editorial policy, academic ethics, and compliance with international publishing standards were also discussed.
The session also addressed the journal’s thematic sections, their modernization, and potential expansion in line with contemporary philosophical research, interdisciplinary approaches, and priority areas in the humanities. Participants highlighted the importance of maintaining a balance between global and Kazakh philosophical traditions, as well as supporting young researchers.
