On September 20, 2023 experts from the Center for Political Studies met with Hungarian academicians Mr. Sandor Sheremet and Mr. Szabolcs Istorik. During the meeting prospects of cooperation between the academic communities of two countries in the field of Eurasian and Central Asian studies were discussed. This applies not only to invitations to conferences and round tables but also to participation in joint research projects and publication in Hungarian and Kazakhstani scientific magazines.

According to Sandor Sheremet Hungary pays special attention to the study of political, social and economic processes in Kazakhstan and seeks to establish cooperation with the Republic not only within the framework of economic and trade but also scientific and academic ties. For their part the CPS experts informed the guests about the researches conducted at the Center, as well as talked about the key topics of academic projects.

Experts of the two countries also exchanged questions and answers on the history, politics, economies of Kazakhstan and Hungary.

In general, following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the continuation of interactions and the development of a plan for further cooperation.
