VYACHESLAV DODONOV, DOCTOR OF ECONOMICS, CHIEF RESEARCHER AT THE INSTITUTE OF PHILOSOPHY, POLITICAL SCIENCE AND RELIGIOUS STUDIES OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN

The tasks set by Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at an expanded meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on February 7, 2024, are aimed at achieving strategic goals – sustainable intensive economic growth capable of doubling GDP by 2029, and a significant increase in incomes and quality of life of citizens of the country.

Despite the fact that the President dwelled in detail on many key areas of the economy – from macro indicators to the construction of regional social infrastructure facilities and the renewal of the fleet of railway cars – it seems that the most important issues were investment and state budgetary policy.
