Expert Meeting
26.03.2026
An expert meeting was held at the Institute for Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies with the participation of Kalamkas Yessimova, analyst-methodologist at the “Public Opinion” Research Institute, Master of Anthropology and Ethnology.
As part of the event, a presentation was delivered on the topic “Sociological Studies of Youth in the PRC,” focusing on contemporary approaches to youth research in China and the specifics of implementing state youth policy. Kazakhstani experts — Marat Shibutov, Botagoz Rakisheva, Natalia Malyarchuk, and German Kim — also took part in the discussion.
Particular attention was given to the “Medium- and Long-Term Youth Development Plan (2016–2025),” approved in 2017. The document covers youth aged 14 to 35 and outlines key areas of state policy, including education, employment, health, social integration, and the protection of youth rights.
The meeting featured an exchange of views on the issues presented. Participants discussed specific aspects of youth policy implementation and approaches to sociological research on youth.
It was emphasized that youth policy is integrated with national socio-economic programs, supported by mechanisms of interagency coordination and monitoring, ensuring the effective implementation of set objectives.
