The symbolic meaning of the revival of the main national holiday in the country – the day of the Republic-echoes the principle of Justice. The declaration "on state sovereignty of the Kazakh SSR", adopted on October 25, 1990, was an important document that opened the way for Kazakhstan to gain independence. The declaration proclaimed the political and legal foundations of Kazakhstan as an independent state.
