Speaking at an expanded government meeting on February 10, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that digitalization and the implementation of artificial intelligence should become the core of the public administration system, the economy, and social policy.

“When the President declares 2026 as the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, I see this primarily as a direct managerial demand to the government. Not a slogan and not a showcase. The message is simple: outdated bureaucratic methods are no longer acceptable as the norm. Competence is now measured by the ability to shift governance toward data, processes, and digital infrastructure.”
