Expert Meeting with a Medieval Historian

On September 12, the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies hosted an expert meeting with renowned medieval historian, PhD, and Director of the Research Institute for the Study of the Ulus of Jochi, Zhaksylyk Sabitov.
During the meeting, Dr. Sabitov shared his perspective on the politics of nation-building in Kazakhstan during the years of Independence. The discussion touched upon key aspects of the formation of national identity, statehood, and historical memory in the post-Soviet period.
Special attention was given to the historical prerequisites and contemporary challenges of nation-building. Scholars of the Institute actively participated in the dialogue, asking questions and exchanging academic views.
Such expert meetings contribute to the development of scientific dialogue and the strengthening of the Institute’s research traditions.
The Institute’s team also congratulated Dr. Sabitov on his birthday, which coincided with the date of the event, wishing him continued success in his academic and professional endeavors.
