On June 1–2, 2026, the Forum of Sociologists “Sociological Research in the Era of Digitalization: Trends and Challenges” was held in Almaty. The event was organized by the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with Narxoz University.

The forum brought together representatives of research centers, the academic community, government agencies, and international experts to discuss current issues in contemporary sociology. Key topics included research methodology, data quality, the development of panel studies, and the application of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the study of social processes.

On the second day, a strategic session titled “The Future of Sociological Research in Kazakhstan: New Standards, Technologies, and Trust” was held. The session brought together representatives of research institutions, government bodies, universities, research companies, and international organizations.

 Among the speakers were Aigul Sadvokassova, Director General of the Institute for Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies, and Sholpan Jamanbalaeva, Deputy Director General.

Researchers from the Institute also actively participated in the forum throughout the two-day program, contributing to expert discussions and engaging in professional exchange of knowledge and experience.
