On October 21, 2026, a roundtable discussion dedicated to Republic Day was held at the House of Friendship in Almaty under the theme “From the Declaration on State Sovereignty to the Қазақстан Халық Кеңесі (People’s Council of Kazakhstan).”

The event brought together representatives of the academic community, public figures, and experts.

•  Aigul Sadvokassova, Director General of the Institute, took part in the discussion on the historical development of Kazakhstan’s statehood.

The roundtable addressed the historical significance of Republic Day, the role of the Declaration on State Sovereignty in the establishment of an independent Kazakhstan, and the importance of preserving the continuity of national values.

Special attention was paid to educating young people about the country’s history, fostering respect for its past, and promoting an understanding of the value of state sovereignty.

Participants emphasized the importance of passing on knowledge about the history of Republic Day and the key stages in the development of Kazakhstan’s statehood to younger generations.
