On December 11–12, 2025, an international academic conference titled “Central Asia: (Re)Thinking the Region in Space and Time” was held in Paris at INALCO (Maison de la Recherche). The conference brought together leading researchers and experts from Europe and Central Asian countries.
The Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies (Almaty) was prominently represented at this international academic forum.
Institute researchers Sholpan Dzhamanbayeva, Zhanna Karimova, and Aitzhamal Amanzholova delivered a joint paper on public trust and debates surrounding artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan, participating in a section devoted to institutional and digital transformations.
The conference addressed a wide range of topical issues, including:
— social and political transformations in Central Asian countries;
— reforms of state institutions;
— the impact of digitalization and artificial intelligence on public consciousness;
— historical, cultural, and value-based foundations of regional development.
The participation of the Institute’s scholars in such a significant international academic event confirms the high standard of Kazakhstan’s humanities scholarship and contributes to strengthening academic cooperation with leading international research centers.
Scientific dialogue, international recognition, and contributions to the development of philosophical and sociological thought remain key priorities of the Institute of Philosophy.
