The first day of the 1st Summer School “From Social Theories to Manageable Data: Building Hybrid Competencies (Social Science * Digital * Policy)”, organized by the Institute for Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies, has successfully concluded.

As part of the educational program, participants explored the architecture of methodology in the social sciences and humanities, discussed contemporary research priorities and current directions of scientific projects in Kazakhstan, and examined issues related to the conceptualization and measurement of social phenomena in research practice.

The first day’s sessions were led by researchers of the Institute, who shared their academic and expert experience, presented contemporary approaches to research design and implementation, and conducted interactive activities with participants.

Throughout the day, participants examined the structure and principles of scientific inquiry, discussed current research priorities in Kazakhstan, and studied approaches for translating social concepts into research variables and indicators.

The Summer School will continue in accordance with the program, which includes lectures, practical workshops, and expert discussions.
