The staff of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science, and Religious Studies expresses its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones, as well as to the entire academic community, on the passing of the outstanding statesman, public figure, world-renowned scholar, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhabaykhan Mubarakuly Abdildin.

Zhabaykhan Mubarakuly was a unique personality who made an invaluable contribution to the development of domestic humanities, including Kazakh philosophy, and was the founder of the Almaty School of Dialectical Logic.

Academician Z.M. Abdildin led our Institute (then the Institute of Philosophy and Law) for many years (1973–1984), elevating Kazakh science to the international stage. Under his guidance, fundamental research was carried out, including the four-volume edition “Dialectical Logic”, which became a significant event in the history of science.

His works, such as “The Problem of Initiative in Hegel’s Philosophy”, “Kant’s Logical Doctrine”, and “Logic and Methodology of Exact Sciences”, are now part of the golden fund of philosophical thought. He also made a significant contribution to the country’s legislative work, serving as a member of the Senate of the Parliament of independent Kazakhstan.

The vivid personality, high moral standards, pedagogical talent, and scholarly legacy of Zhabaykhan Mubarakuly Abdildin will forever remain in our memory. May he rest in peace, and may his work be blessed.
