On November 25, 2025, a roundtable was held in Almaty to discuss the role of civic centers and public organizations in strengthening social unity. The event aimed to foster open dialogue, share best practices, and develop joint approaches to supporting civic initiatives and the activities of NGOs.

Special attention was given to the experience of the Public Foundation Information Resource Center, which for 20 years has been implementing educational and consulting programs for leaders and teams of public organizations within the “Civic Center” project, supported by the Department of Internal Policy of Almaty.

The Deputy Director General of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies, Ermek Toktarov, participated in the roundtable and highlighted the importance of institutional support for the civic sector, as well as the need to strengthen partnerships between the research community and public organizations.

Other speakers included representatives of the Information Resource Center Public Foundation, the Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia, the INMIR Public Foundation, and members of the Public Council of Almaty.
