Media and Peace Journalism in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
On December 19, 2025, a round table titled “Media and Peace Journalism in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” was held in Almaty. The event brought together leading experts, scholars, journalists, and public figures to discuss the transformation of media and communications amid the rapid development of digital technologies.

The round table was organized by the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Muslim Council of Elders, and the International Center for Interfaith Dialogue.

The main objective of the meeting was to explore the relationship between media, ethics, and artificial intelligence in the context of peace journalism, as well as to identify ways to strengthen responsibility and moral values in the information space. Special attention was given to the impact of artificial intelligence on shaping the language of peace and the culture of communication in contemporary media.

The event was attended by experts in mass communications, representatives of religious organizations, and IT specialists.

Among the speakers was Aigul Sadvokassova, Director General of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies, who spoke during a thematic session and presented an expert perspective on the role of humanitarian values in the era of media digitalization.
