On September 16–18, 2026, the International Congress of the Turkic World was held at Miras University in Shymkent.

The international academic event brought together scholars and researchers fr om Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

The IPhPR was represented by Yenlik Kasabekova, Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Religious Studies.

The congress addressed issues related to the shared historical, cultural, and spiritual heritage of the Turkic peoples, linguistic and cultural continuity, common values, as well as the development of academic and cultural cooperation among Turkic states. Participants presented research papers, exchanged views, and discussed prospects for further development of international academic ties.

On September 18, the congress participants made a special trip to Turkistan, wh ere they visited the mausoleums of Arystan Bab and Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. The visit to these historical, cultural, and spiritual sites provided an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the rich heritage of the Turkic peoples.

Following the congress, participants were presented with certificates.
