October 25 is considered one of the key dates in the modern history of Kazakhstan. On this day in 1990, the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR adopted the Declaration on State Sovereignty, the first document to establish the republic’s political and economic independence. Today, we celebrate this day as the Day of the Republic — a symbol of our independence, identity, and unity.
