From 1 to 5 December 2025, two researchers from the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies — PhD Laura Toktarbekova and MA Zhazira Rakhmetova — conducted a research trip to the city of Aktau as part of the Institute’s scientific projects. The visit took place at Yessenov University (Caspian University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh. Yessenov).

During the trip, a working meeting was held with Assem Kulbayeva, Acting Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines and the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan; Assoc. Prof. Altinai Mambetova, Candidate of Cultural Studies; PhD, Assoc. Prof. Sofiya Duissenova, as well as other faculty members.

The meeting included a discussion of key areas of bilateral cooperation and an expert-consultative exchange of views on the topics of the project.

In addition, the Institute’s staff held a session with students, during which they delivered a seminar on philosophy of culture, religious tolerance, interfaith dialogue, and issues of gender equality in religion.
