Scientific Visit: Collaboration in International Research
From November 20 to 24, 2025, as part of an official working trip, a delegation from the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science, and Religious Studies (IPhPR), including Deputy Director for Science Sholpan Dzhamanbalaeva and Head of the Center for Digital Social Sciences Rustem Mustafin, visited Fudan University (PRC). The main goal of the visit was to strengthen collaboration in international research—an important area of contemporary humanitarian science and analytical diplomacy.

During the visit, the delegation met with scholars from the Faculty of International Studies to discuss comparative analysis, methodologies for studying international processes, and the application of digital forecasting models in political science and geostrategic research.

A key highlight of the visit was the donation of a new IPhPR publication, also translated into Chinese, to the Fudan University library:
“A Just Kazakhstan and the Chinese Dream: Analysis of Opportunities and Prospects of Modern Development Strategy.”
This step reinforced academic dialogue and emphasized the commitment to deepening mutual understanding between Kazakhstan and China.

A separate meeting was held with Professor Siming Chen, an expert in data visualization, AR/VR technologies, and intelligent interfaces. Professor Chen has international experience at Fraunhofer IAIS and the University of Bonn and participates in an IPhPR scientific project on artificial intelligence led by Sh. Dzhamanbalaeva. The project is implemented under the IPhPR Digital Data Laboratory.

During the discussions, the parties reviewed the current status of the project, including the analysis of large humanitarian datasets, creation of research panels, and algorithmic classification of socio-political texts.

The visit concluded with an agreement to move forward to the practical phase of cooperation: jointly developing pilot modules, preparing publications, and planning upcoming research activities.
