On May 23, 2025, a scientific and methodological seminar was held at the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and religious studies on the topic "actual directions of Modern Political Science: national and global aspects". The event was organized by the Center for Political Studies. The participants of the seminar discussed the following topical issues related to the development and transformation of political thought at the global and national levels:

* weakening of the liberal-democratic model and the growth of authoritarian tendencies;

* new challenges to the sovereignty of national states in the era of global players;

* formation of modern forms of nationalism-in response to globalization;

* the impact of digital technologies on political consciousness, citizen participation and legitimacy of power;

* risks of digitalization, including the impact of AI on public opinion and the political space.
