The Chairman of the Senate, Maulen Ashimbayev, met in Almaty with members of local representative bodies (maslikhats), public figures, and representatives of ethnocultural associations. During the meeting, key provisions of the draft new Constitution and priority areas of joint work within the framework of the nationwide referendum scheduled for March 15 were discussed.

Maulen Ashimbayev noted that constitutional reform is an important step aimed at democratizing the country’s political system, implementing the idea of a “Just Kazakhstan,” and protecting the rights and interests of citizens. The new Constitution will serve as a foundation for strengthening statehood, consolidating society, and transitioning to a modern model of public administration.

✔️ The event was attended by Aigul Sadvokassova, Director General of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science, and Religious Studies, who spoke about the impact of constitutional changes on social development, education and science, and the improvement of human capital quality. She emphasized the importance of the reforms in strengthening social harmony and affirming the principles of a secular, rule-of-law state.
