On October 27, 2026, Gaukhar Barlybayeva, Chief Research Fellow at the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies, and Gulnar Nussipova, Leading Research Fellow, met with Dr. Hiba Abid, Curator of the Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies Division at The New York Public Library (NYPL).

During the meeting, the Kazakhstani scholars donated academic publications and monographs by Kazakhstani philosophers to the library’s collections.

Founded in 1895, The New York Public Library holds an extensive collection of rare books, manuscripts, historical documents, and publications in various languages. Its collections serve as an important resource for researchers studying history, philosophy, religious studies, and the cultures of different regions of the world.

The inclusion of works by Kazakhstani researchers in the library’s collections enhances the international accessibility of Kazakhstan’s philosophical research and helps introduce the international academic community to the country’s scholarly achievements.
