On October 15, 2025, the Astana Think Tank Forum 2025 opened in Astana under the theme “From Polarization to Partnership: Restoring Trust in the International System.”

Participating from the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies (IPhPR) are Aigul Sadvokassova, General Director of the Institute, and Aidar Amrebayev, Director of the Center for Comparative Political Studies. Together with international experts, they are discussing pressing global issues and the search for new models of cooperation.

The event is held within the framework of the Astana International Forum (AIF) and organized by the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KazISS). The forum brings together around 40 foreign experts from 20 countries, heads and researchers of leading think tanks, as well as representatives of international organizations and academic circles.

The first Astana Think Tank Forum took place in 2024 and focused on the role of middle powers in a changing world order. Today, the forum has become an authoritative platform for discussing key issues on the global agenda.
