▪️Training Seminar on the Prevention of Religious Extremism and Terrorism Held at the Almaty City Court

A training seminar titled “Prevention of Religious Extremism and Terrorism” was held at the Almaty City Court. The event aimed to enhance the legal awareness of civil servants and strengthen measures to prevent the spread of destructive ideologies.

▪️ The seminar was attended by A. Zharylkassyn, Deputy Head of the Department of the Judicial Administration for Almaty and Ethics Commissioner, as well as heads of the Administrative Offices of Almaty’s district courts.

▪️ Introducing the speaker, A. Zharylkassyn highlighted the relevance of the topic under discussion. The seminar was delivered by N. Meimankhoja, Research Fellow at the Center for Religious Studies of the Institute for Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies under the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and holder of a Master’s degree in Religious Studies.

▪️ N. Meimankhoja provided a detailed explanation of the advantages of a secular model of state governance based on the principles of human rights rather than religious beliefs.

▪️ Particular attention was devoted to the key characteristics of religious extremist movements, which are marked by adherence to extreme views that radically reject the norms and values accepted in society.
