On August 21, the National Think Tank Forum “Projecting the Future: From Assessing Results to a New Agenda” was held in Astana. The forum brought together heads of government agencies, national analytical centers, representatives of international organizations, as well as members of the expert and academic communities.

Aigul Sadvokassova, Director General of the Institute for Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies (IPhPR), also took part in the forum.

The forum provided a platform for a comprehensive discussion of Kazakhstan’s development achievements in recent years and the identification of priorities for the next stage. Key topics included human capital, education and science, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, social resilience, economic and industrial development, energy, and Kazakhstan’s position in the changing system of international relations.

The first session, “Kazakhstan Today: Results Shaping the Future,” focused on assessing the key changes that have taken place in the country and the resources forming the foundation for its further development.

The second session, “The Future Agenda: Priorities and Solutions,” focused on the country’s further development priorities.

The National Think Tank Forum highlighted that Kazakhstan is entering a new stage of development with significant progress already achieved. The new agenda requires a shift from quantitative results toward qualitative changes — improving the quality of human capital, advancing digital transformation and technological development, and strengthening society’s ability to adapt to change.
