On January 15–16, a forum titled “Quality Assurance in Higher Education: Current State and Development Prospects” was held in Astana. The event was organized by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan in cooperation with Nazarbayev University.

The forum was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, as well as representatives of government bodies, international organizations, and the expert community.

This large-scale event brought together heads of higher and postgraduate education institutions, international experts, and specialists in accreditation and quality assessment in education.

The Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies was represented at the forum by its General Director, Aigul Sadvokassova.

As part of the forum, international workshops and thematic sessions were held, focusing on university preparation for international accreditation, the development of a quality culture, assessment of PhD doctoral research outcomes, and improvement of internal quality assurance systems. A key highlight of the event was the plenary session devoted to the current state and future prospects of the quality assurance system in higher education and science.
