5th International Pacific School-Conference on Experimental Methods in Economics (FEFU)
From September 21 to 29, 2025, researchers of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies — Kuanysh Sailau and Aidan Serikbayeva — took part in the 5th International Pacific School-Conference on Experimental Methods in Economics, held at the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) as part of a scientific trip.

Together with students of Moscow State University and Professor Alexey Belyanin, the participants developed a research design titled “Type of Initial Selection (HR vs AI) as a Factor in the Perception of Fairness and Changes in the Content of Motivation Letters.”

The project is being implemented under the direction “AI and Ethical Norms”, supervised by Sholpan Zhamanbalaeva, Deputy Director of the Institute, with the support of Aigul Sadvokassova, General Director of the Institute. The integration of experimental methods into the Institute’s future research is planned.

Among the school’s speakers were leading economists and researchers. The keynote address was delivered by Professor Alexey Belyanin, who presented a series of lectures and seminars on modern experimental methods in economics, as well as issues of ethics and behavioral models.

Participation in the school provided valuable interdisciplinary experience, strengthening the methodological competencies and expanding the research horizons of the Institute’s scholars.
