7th International Eurasian Forum for the Rapprochement of Cultures “Ambassador of One’s Homeland”
On May 26, 2026, the 7th International Eurasian Forum for the Rapprochement of Cultures, titled “Ambassador of One’s Homeland,” was held in Almaty. The event was organized by the International Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures under the auspices of UNESCO, the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation.

 Dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the outstanding thinker, poet, and public figure Olzhas Suleimenov, the forum served as an important platform for expanding humanitarian and academic dialogue.

The opening ceremony featured speeches by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva, Director of the UNESCO Regional Office in Almaty and UNESCO Representative to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan Amir Piric, Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Raev, and Director General of the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation Ainur Karbozova. In their remarks, they emphasized the significant contribution of Olzhas Suleimenov to the development of intercultural dialogue.

Distinguished guests from various countries around the world participated in the forum both in person and online.

Representing the Institute for Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies, researchers from the Center for World and Kazakh Philosophy took part in the forum under the leadership of Deputy Director General Sholpan Jamanbalaeva.
