On November 18, the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies hosted a meeting with Professor Jonathan McHone of the University of Kansas (USA). The event was organized by the Institute’s Center for Religious Studies.

During the meeting, the Center’s researchers introduced the foreign professor to the structure of the Institute and its main research areas.

Professor Jonathan McHone, whose work focuses on religion and politics in Central Asian countries, engaged in a discussion with the participants on current issues in the humanities, the relationship between religion and society, aspects of identity, and cultural initiatives.

At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their interest in further developing scientific and creative cooperation.
