On September 10, the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies hosted a meeting with Mohammad Masoud Sadeghi, Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Sona Ahmadi, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation in science and education, including academic exchange, joint research projects, scientific events, and expanding interaction between academic institutions in Kazakhstan and Iran.

Particular attention was paid to developing cooperation with the University of Tehran. In this context, an important step was the signing, on October 14, 2025, of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies and the University of Tehran.

The participants noted the significant potential for further cooperation and expressed their readiness to strengthen scientific and academic ties between Kazakhstan and Iran, creating new opportunities for researchers and young scholars.
