The Head of the Center for Religious Studies at the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science, and Religious Studies, Almasbek Shagyrbay, held a meeting with servicemen of the Military Police Department of the Almaty Regional Garrison, dedicated to актуal social and public issues.

During the meeting, the problem of gambling addiction, which has become widespread in modern society, was discussed, along with its negative consequences for individuals, families, and society as a whole. Special attention was paid to the impact of gambling addiction on a person’s psychological well-being and the increase in self-destructive forms of behavior. In addition, A. Shagyrbay referred to universal human values reflected in the four sacred books and explained that in Islamic Sharia, taking one’s own life is strictly prohibited, as such actions cause serious harm to a person’s spiritual, psychological, and social well-being.

In his speech, Almasbek Duisenbekuly emphasized the value of human life, the importance of generational continuity, and responsibility for the spiritual legacy left by heroic ancestors.

In conclusion, it was highlighted that Islam calls for respect for life, inner resilience, and seeking spiritual and psychological support in difficult life situations.

The importance of holding such meetings aimed at raising social awareness and strengthening moral and spiritual values among military personnel was also noted.
