On November 25, 2025, the Center for Religious Studies of IPhPR held an interview with Professor Jonathan McHonie from the University of Kansas (USA) as part of its regular working sessions.

During the meeting, the international researcher presented the main areas of his academic work and shared practical experience as well as his professional perspective on career development in education and science.

The Institute’s Chief Research Fellow, Professor Natalia Seitakhmetova, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, introduced the guest to the scholarly journals Adam Alemi and Al-Farabi, published by the Institute. She also invited him to consider submitting scientific articles to these journals.

At the end of the meeting, participants discussed the application of discourse analysis and comparative methods in humanities research, concluding the session with an engaging and substantive academic discussion.
