Institute for Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies (CS MSHE RK) invites undergraduate, master’s, doctoral students, and early-career researchers to participate in the 1st Summer School “From Social Theories to Manageable Data: Building Hybrid Competencies (Social Science * Digital * Policy)”, which will be held on June 8–12, 2026.
Contemporary social sciences and humanities are undergoing a phase of transformation: theoretical approaches increasingly require empirical verification, while digital technologies and artificial intelligence open new opportunities for data analysis. In this context, hybrid competencies that combine theoretical training, digital skills, and applied analysis are becoming especially important.
The Summer School aims to develop interdisciplinary thinking and research skills, as well as to provide participants with tools for transforming theoretical ideas into valid scientific results that meet international standards. Particular attention will be given to the application of modern data processing methods, including artificial intelligence technologies, in social sciences and humanities research.
The program covers key areas: modern methodologies and digital tools (automated text analysis, network modeling, AI applications), a workshop on visual culture and cinema as a form of scientific argumentation, as well as fundamental and applied aspects of philosophy, political science, and religious studies—from the analysis of political processes to the interpretation of social transformations.
The Summer School is designed as a space for active academic dialogue, where participants can exchange experience, develop scientific communication skills, and engage with the professional community. A key component of the program will be practical work, during which each participant will prepare their own academic output—a research proposal or a draft article manuscript.
Upon completion, participants will receive an official certificate, enhance their research and digital competencies, and strengthen their public speaking and teamwork skills. The most active participants may be invited for further collaboration with the Institute through research projects and internships.
The Summer School will serve as a platform where theory is aligned with data, and humanities knowledge is integrated with digital technologies.
Eligibility: undergraduate, master’s, doctoral students, and young researchers interested in interdisciplinary studies at the intersection of social sciences, digital technologies, and data analysis.
